Remembrance
I had to take a bunch of tests given by the guidance counselor in the ninth grade. The counselor, Maynaed Huisman, later met with me and said you are a smart and witty man. You will be able to do anything you want. However, he said you have a tendency to use people. It will be interesting to see what you do.
Many years later when I was a divorce lawyer in town, his son came to me with divorce papers from his wife. He made an appointment and came in with his minister or priest. I remember telling the minister or priest that I don’t know who he talked to but he couldn’t be in the room while my client and I were working. He got up and left. Maybe he was relieved.
